  • Reaching your blood pressure goal is a reason to celebrate. Keep taking your medicine as your doctor recommends, even if your blood pressure is improving. Skipping doses or not taking your medicine may cause your blood pressure to rise again.

Which dose is right for you?

  • Your doctor will decide. Many doctors prescribe the lowest starting dose of BENICAR or BENICAR HCT to their patients. Then, if that doesn’t lower blood pressure enough, they may raise the dose.
